Need help forming Text to Shape

i've tried bunch of things, have few results they're not quite liking;

here's result sort of mimics goal have;

although, able make whole thing hexagonal shape.

it looks interesting project, long way understanding goals.  'rock candy' text or tyt distort?  , shape hexagonal?
