The Adobe "Test Flash Player" says it is not installed; the installer says it is.

i trying download app needs flash 11.1 - says not have. step 1: when go adobe flash download page, tells me flash comes windows 8, , therefore don't need download it. step 2: when hit button says "test flash player", message says "flash either not installed, not enabled, or activex  filtering on". step 3: follow instructions enabling flash (it is) , turning off activex filtering (it off), test flash gives me same message. if try downloading flash, go step 1.

 

microsoft tells me adobe. of course, there no adobe except forum. if can appreciate it.

firstly, won't able install flash player 11.1 internet explorer on windows 8.  of windows 8, microsoft embeds flash player ie , there's no way install previous version of flash player ie on these systems.

 

if flash player enabled, , activex filtering disabled, widget should detect flash correctly.  flash work on other pages, example, http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about or http://www.homestarrunner.com/, or other sites?

does work if enable compatibility mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11?
