you know folder on computer, 'another albums' shows definition of albums not clear you.

the organizer based on catalogs.

a catalog not contain picture files, links physical location on folders. can have several catalogs pointing same files on folders (not idea in general, that's purpose of catalogs: instance can share common files relative in his/her own catalog.

then, albums property of each catalog. 'playlists' audio files. lists own sort order.

so taking photos album means selecting photos in 1 catalog, in turn selects physical files on folders.

making new folder , copying files selection (i assume that's want) possible, have understand process.

one of main points database (catalog) organization don't create duplicates. organizer won't let create copies if able select files and move (not copy) them in folder. won't give ability copy them in current catalog.

but organizer has powerful 'export' feature. exporting means creating copies of selected files , storing them in folder of choice, without including them in current catalog. export process lets resize, rename, change format etc. in single operation.

that's useful creating temporary folders sharing or printing.

most of time 'exported' files different in size or format, means can import them without organizer considering them duplicates.

 

in few words: select files in album, export settings new folder, , import files in folder.
