Default Character Style

i'm little baffled character panel in photoshop cc.  every time open jpg , wish comment on it, pressing "t" starts me off seemingly random font style, size , color.  have set "character style" in character styles dialog, however, clears every time new file open.  character styles attached files?  can bring saved character style clicking "load default type styles", , pressing "clear override" button.  however, time consuming task.

 

how can set font, size , color default photoshop cc, not tied files open?

 

many help.  i've been using photoshop since version 2.5 in high school, , you'd think i'd have simple tasks figured out :-)

to change type tool’s default settings, close open documents , make changes in options bar or character panel. these settings new defaults.
