Canvas Size or Canvas Proportions

i understand size irrelevant vector drawing because art can scaled infinitly, i'd drawing have specific proportional canvas size. can't figure out how in draw. fished first drawing new ipad pro , on weekend had take illustrator when done adjust art board. have suggestions of how handle without using illustrator?

 

if curious, published drawing "tiger illustration" on behance screen grabs, show challenge is.

 

i draw rectangular shape in background approximates canvas proportions, it's not accurate. nice if rectangular shape tool allowed draw numerical proportions. better if establish canvas size @ start of new drawing, kind of adobe comp.

 

i place capture shapes in drawing background scaled beyond bounds of canvas. there no way mask shapes draw suppose option erase areas extend beyond art board or canvas.

it's not yet possible understanding team working on incorporating canvas sizing options. unfortunately don't have information beyond that.
