Adobe Muse Content Background with Shadow on browser fill

hey folks, looking option have different browser fill on canvas (content area) shadow around content area, actual content looks little closer background of browser.

but dont want have rectangle there, because creates trouble footer area , mess master.

 

somebody ideas?

easiest way achieve want david, (if understand questions correctly).

 

1. create document in preferred image program (photoshop in case). give document dimensions of page inner content width, along twenty px marging either side. example; if width of content background 1180px add 40px give base document size 1220px wide.

2. give document height of 10-20px.

3. select background colour of document identical browser background colour have page.

4. choose ok.

5. ctrl+r or cmd+r bring ruler on screen, , create 2 guides either side of document both equaling additional margin width per above. in example, set 1 guide @ 20px left , 20px right.

6. select shape tool. colour of shape dependent on colour of content area. have chosen white.

7. draw out shape within boundaries of guides have set margins. want ensure boundaries of shape go outside of header , footer of document not cause gap in drop shadow in final output:

8. shape still selected in layers, effects panel choose drop shadow

9. set angle @ 90degrees, , play spread , opacity achieve want.

10. should have looks this:

11. export out ither png (best quality), jpg, or gif

12 open muse up, , go a-master page , have set page boundaries, click outside of canvas.

13. on fill menu (located top left of screen) click on show drop down content this:

 

fill type solid, , have selected colour background of page colour selector. opacity set 100%, , in background image selector, have chosen background image created in above steps. choose fitting settings "tile vertically", , click on center square of pin position selector.

 

voila, have drop shadow page content area.
