Puppet warp crashes Photoshop

i'm teaching photoshop online , 1 of students complains of puppet warp crashing copy of photoshop.

the student's spec is:

computer: toshiba satellite c75d-b

os: windows 8

software: adobe photoshop cc 2014

i've tried working scratch disks, upping cache, adjusting memory usage , turning off graphics processor nothing works.

any suggestions helpful.
