i found info here: generate speech | adobe audition  not totally clear on may or may not done. states, in part:

"your os has few voices installed you, personal use , not licensed use in commercial projects...."

my question 2-fold:

1.  when says "generally" there legal (i assume apple or nuance) can expand on statement?

2.   "commercial" cover distribution (i.e, creating mp3 of samantha's voice , selling it) use in sale or public consumption?  there line in above-referenced doc suggests use "interesting transitions , narration, or use in game design."

the specific use case concerned using generated voice on piece of hardware, on boot "hello!" via mp3 of voice - it's not text speech product.

thank time!

it's going voice subject copyright - , suspect find out answer, you'll need go source of voice files themselves, , not adobe. own take on if use audition 'disguise' voice (pretty easy do), going find difficult track down original source.

as far adobe concerned, think it's easier don't explain restrictions on are; way they've covered themselves, if it's unnecessary.
