XAVC-S vs. MP4 transcode from 4K to HD

i shoot in hd older hv20 puts out mpeg wrapped captured files play directly on wdtv live streamer no editing. edit , make blu-rays on occasion (although encore not supported adobe, optical disks of kind no longer made in adobe products).

 

anyway moving new camcorder either new panansonic or sony top consumer unit 4k.  shoot in 1080p while or shoot in 4k , transcode 1080p casual viewing.  question.

 

the sony fdr-ax53 shoots 4k in xavc-s researched , see older posts created issues in premiere pro , assume in ame.

are these resolved , how pleasant cropping , quality of "brute-force" transcode of 4k xavc-s 1080p format (could .mpeg/mpeg4, .mov/h.264, whatever streamer likes)?  assume must "crop" , in cases not editing, running video through ame.  or of course shoot directly in 1080p while until move 4k won't have "raw" 4k files potential future use.

 

the panasonic hc-wxf991k strictly mp4 , avchd format little more standard. still have same question...if shoot in mp4 3840x2160 , want transcode 1080p format, how ame handle, crop etc?

 

i want away time , hassle of capturing tapes!  however, don't want create awkward workflow view videos in 1080p.  , if there issues xavc-s, important because now, other attaching camera tv , having convert, way of viewing transcode 1080p.

 

hope asking question correctly. familiar pr pro , ame, not familiar moving 4k hd ame.

After Effects: could not find dvaeve_dialogs.txt

hello,   i getting error message when trying launch application:   after effects warning: file 'c:\program files\adobe\adobe after effects cs6 \supportfiles\dvaeve_dialogs.txt' not found.   the application working fine without issues until today. there has been no system changes on computer either.   any ideas on how resolve issue?   thank reinstall prgram.   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
