Error 16 following uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat DC (per program request). What do I do to get a clean install?
today received message not acrobat dc , should uninstall , reinstall it. first tried repair, no luck. used revo uninstaller remove , used revo's installer track install. program uninstalled, started install after receiving request serial number , when dust settled received uninstall/reinstall request. error message same "16." frustrated. can help?

error 16 corresponds file permission issue , steps mentioned in link provided helpful in cases.
in case should try assign permissions whole adobe directory. please follow steps mentioned below depending on operating system.
mac
1) navigate following locations , assign current user full permissions adobe folders. navigate open finder , click go menu bar @ click goto.. type /library/application support/ , click go.
2) assign permission right click on adobe folder , click info.. property window open. click on lock symbol enable editing. click + sign add username. change read read , write. click gear symbol @ bottom , click apply enclosed items , click ok..
windows
1) navigate following locations , assign current user full permissions adobe folders. (right click on adobe folder select properties click security tab , click edit , select current user signed in , select full control , click apply , ok)

2) try launch adobe application then
