Selecting using Color Range - bleeds through

i'm trying remove bicycle background. i'm able make usable selection using selection > color range.

 

the problem when delete background, remaining bicycle seems have transparency it. if use different selection method, there none of transparency.

if make background black, white specs here black.

 

i've tried blend modes , nothing changes. opacity 100%.

 

i'll appreciate suggestions. in advance.

don't use color range exclusively. check channels , see if selection can derived green channel. can use channel clean other selections. likewise, conventional selection other tools might give better results. if must use color range, check local cluster settings , use multiple samples. there's no magic trick, need put in more work , combine different techniques. simple polygon lasso selection might efficient.
