Fans at 2200 rpm during playback in Premiere. But the same clip is at 1200rpm in Quicktime.

specs:

late 2015 27" 5k imac

os x el capitan 10.11.4

4.0ghz quad-core intel core i7, turbo boost 4.2ghz

16gb 1867mhz ddr3 sdram - 2 8gb

amd radeon r9 m395x 4gb video memory

working 3840 × 2160, h.264 linear pcm footage sony a7s.

during playback in premiere, i've noticed cpu gets hot , fans turn on quickly. thought might have been high res footage. during playback of exact same clip in quicktime player cpu stays cool , fans stay off. gives? know gpu not on adobe's recommended list (premiere pro system requirements mac os , windows ), make big of difference? it's super hard concentrate on editing while fans going nuts, seems should when exporting (and having edited hi res footage on older imacs before, time fans become audible).

here's info during playback in premiere:

and in quicktime:

any insights? i'm sure next update better accommodate gpu, help?

is causing issues?

premiere not video player, there lot more going on when playing clip in premiere in quicktime.
