Is it possible to auto merge multiple pictures together but change what is used as a reference point to line them up?

i've been trying layer 40 shots of stars star trail picture. problem have when use auto merge function in photoshop it's not using mountains in images reference line up. instead it's using milky way, i'm ending image that's twisted. i've used tripod , timer when gathering images framing same on each.

 

is possible change photoshop uses line layers or should photograph pole star without milkyway in shot?

bonjour,   une image sera plus parlante pour expliquer mon problème : je souhaite appliquer une couleur/texture pour mes routes, j'ai donc utiliser l'outil plume pour délimiter le contour qui m'intéresse. or celui-ci comprend les terres pleins, auxquels je souhaite appliquer une autre couleur/texture, même problème pour le rond point par exemple. comment puis-je soustraire une sélection (pas sur du terme) pour retrouver un terre plein blanc svp ?   sur photoshop cela correspondrait soustraire une selection     en espérant avoir été clair !   merci bcp ! After Effects: could not find dvaeve_dialogs.txt

hello,   i getting error message when trying launch application:   after effects warning: file 'c:\program files\adobe\adobe after effects cs6 \supportfiles\dvaeve_dialogs.txt' not found.   the application working fine without issues until today. there has been no system changes on computer either.   any ideas on how resolve issue?   thank reinstall prgram.   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
