Adobe Reader plugin commandline variable

hello.

for work making adobe read pluging.

 

is possible pass textstring adobe reader executable , search text string own plugin , highlight these instances on first pdf document page ?

 

my plugin requires text string highlight.

 

can pass text string external application ?

i don't think there possibility command line. can invent own way communicate plug-in if careful these rules.

 

1. plug-in cannot stop , wait events in main thread without blocking app.

2. plug-in can create new threads must not use acrobat api whatsoever in these new threads.

 

the simplest approach create file in known location plug-in looks for. sure identify target file, plug-in may called other pdfs, including invisible pdfs used internally, , pdfs shown in external windows. subject above restrictions can create com servers or other kinds of iac.
