Type/Fonts are all coming out 'Condensed' as I type them.... and my keyboard 'space' bar doesn't result in a 'space' when typing..... only in Illustrator CC 2015.

the thing did can think of before began occurring updating suitcase fusion windows version 6.... , adding font free internet site.

 

the problem occurs in adobe illustrator cc 2015 windows though,....

 

can't seem find fix.... although suggested in similar post 'resetting type tool' fixed problem. 

 

i did go type menu... , selected 'reset panel' dropdown menu.... didn't help.

 

i tried restarting computer.

 

please help!! deadlines looming!  thanks.

reset preferences.

cmd-opt-ctrl-shift when restarting ai on mac or alt-crtl-shift on pc reset defaults.

 

not sure of these locations on windows next 2 suggestions below, similar.

 

more thorough reset preferences.

quit illustrator

finder (hold down option) >> choose library >> go folder

/library/preferences/adobe illustrator 19 settings/en_us*/adobe illustrator prefs

rename adobe illustrator 19 adobe illustrator 19 old

 

reset other preferences 
quit illustrator

finder (hold down option) >> choose library >> go folder

library/application support/adobe/adobe illustrator 19/

rename adobe illustrator 19 adobe illustrator 19 old
