Time Interpolation and Speed

when want ramp speed of clip need turn on optical flow or matter?

 

are 2 connected in anyway?

great question! after couple tests, think have answer. 

 

1.) made simple 100% 25% speed ramp.speed-ramp-premiere-pro.png

2.) exported clip quicktime apple prores 422 , selected optical flow under time interpolation drop down.

3.) results indistinguishable identical export using default frame sampling time interpolation.

4.) solution found select clip , open clip speed / duration (cmd+r) , change time interpolation optical flow. don't need change speed use optical flow.

5.) exported quicktime apple prores 422 (no need change time interpolation) , worked!
