Automatic update and no longer can sign documents

i had automatic update on windows system included acrobat dc.  previous update, able use digital signature program through acrobat dc , had no issues.  when try digitally sign document using adobe dc, receive following error:

“key not exists” , “error code 2148073485”.

i need assistance.  have uninstalled , reinstalled certificates……..still not work. need uninstall acrobat dc , reinstall?  @ wits end.

we published kb article related issue while back.

windows cryptographic service provider error | key not exist, error code 2148073485

while investigate further, workaround provided in article should help.

"check signature device or driver manufacturer updated driver may resolve error.

if requested hashing algorithm not supported signature device, solution set registry key asignhash to sha1 as described on page -http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/prefref/windows/security.html#signing:ha shalgorithm. however, not recommended approach set sha1 default hashing algorithm signatures, considered deprecated industry wide. therefore, adobe recommends checking signature device or driver manufacturer newer device or driver supports sha256 or higher hashes."
