What is the difference between Acrobat SDK and the JavaScript API?

i new acrobat pro dc. how use javascript or sdk it? when using javascript, mean i'm on browser? there phone support? basically, wish extract data fillable fields on form database. either of these tools me that?

there different parts acrobat sdk: important ones plug-in api write acrobat plug-ins in c/c++, there iac (or interapplication communications) api, , javascript api.

 

the sdk contains documentation , sample code, javascript api part of sdk.

 

no, not using javascript in browser, it's running inside adobe acrobat (or free adobe reader, there limitations in can javascript within reader). take here: acrobat dc sdk documentation | adobe developer connection

you see section titled "javascript acrobat". first document listed "developing acrobat applications using javascript" - read more familiar can javascript in acrobat.

to learn javascript, can use resource teaches javascript browser, need know when put resource aside because getting browser specific: every implementation of javascript consists of 2 parts: core language , application specific extensions core language. core language same implementations (that is, long ignore differences due engine version changes). application specific part can ignore browser specific parts of javascript, , use javascript acrobat api reference (linked on sdk page).
