Can't open PDFs Acrobat Pro DC Creative Cloud

hi since , upgrade cannot open pdfs in acrobat reader.  i've uninstalled , reinstalled via creative cloud no fix. frustrating , quite pointless paying product doesn't work purchased do....open , pdfs!! sorry frustrated - can help?  thanks
