Unable to Import Files - Says "Files cannot be read"

hi all!  finished session nikon d610 , when tried import photos lightroom tells me it's unable read files.  second time has happened me.  started working again first time around not couple of weeks. don't have long time around.  suggestions? thanks!

the error message "cannot read files" rather mis-leading. means lightroom cannot "write" files.

check destination folder in import dialog. must have full read/write permissions , on internal or connected external hard-drive , , sufficient space.

i assume version of lr compatible d610.

Sizing images of multiple resolutions for print on a page of one resolution

this may basic photoshop question betrays lack of experience digital workspace, i'd know how lay out multiple images of varying resolutions on 300 ppi page intended print.   say have 3 images: 1 300 ppi, 3 x 4 inches,  4 x 5 inches, 900 ppi , third 4 x 5 inches, 600 ppi.   i've created single page 300 ppi, 8 x 10 inches. images fit, physical size. when drop 600 ppi , 900 ppi images page, blow twice , 3 times space, spoiling efforts lay them out. similarly, if cut ppi on higher-ppi images 300, blow well.   the possible option see might work resample/bicubic automatic. wouldn't reduce quality of image?   thanks! an image file single file no matter how many layers , images , image sizes  in there 1 resolution 1 resolution layers  , images have same resolution setting current resolution set document or file.   you can process image file , save out files have different resolution , different image size open image.  batch using photoshop  im...
