How do I get .php contact page to be recognized on web host server

i created new contact page using .php because old .html contact page stopped working. linked new .php contact page contact.php in files , uploaded it. checked files manager of web host , new file located in right area when go online web site still defaults old contact.html page. i've checked link in dreamweaver, i've checked , seen file on web host server, i've gone code view , seen script says, <a href="contact.php" , i've reloaded page clear cache, why website still see old document?

 

any ideas welcome
