Images appear to lose contrast after I sharpen them

hi everyone,

 

i bought lightroom 6 mac download amazon. seems working fine except 1 thing: every time make sharpening change (ie amount or detail), "library" version of photo changes. looks image loses contrast or something, , contrast loss increases exponentially make more sharpening changes (move cursor more right). if make other changes (ie saturation, temperature, contrast), "library" image looks same "develop" version. it's when make sharpening changes see these weird changes library version. have mountain lion (os 10.8.5), lightroom 6 compatible. bought yesterday haven't made changes presets or anything. ideas what's happening? thank you!

are working noisy images, , applying lot of sharpening?

also note noise reduction , sharpening must applied (and evaluated) @ 1:1 view.

any other view inaccurate , misleading due image scaling.

Sizing images of multiple resolutions for print on a page of one resolution

this may basic photoshop question betrays lack of experience digital workspace, i'd know how lay out multiple images of varying resolutions on 300 ppi page intended print.   say have 3 images: 1 300 ppi, 3 x 4 inches,  4 x 5 inches, 900 ppi , third 4 x 5 inches, 600 ppi.   i've created single page 300 ppi, 8 x 10 inches. images fit, physical size. when drop 600 ppi , 900 ppi images page, blow twice , 3 times space, spoiling efforts lay them out. similarly, if cut ppi on higher-ppi images 300, blow well.   the possible option see might work resample/bicubic automatic. wouldn't reduce quality of image?   thanks! an image file single file no matter how many layers , images , image sizes  in there 1 resolution 1 resolution layers  , images have same resolution setting current resolution set document or file.   you can process image file , save out files have different resolution , different image size open image.  batch using photoshop  im...

Illustrator cs6 "Invalid Serial Number"

i trying re-install adobe illustrator cs6 on new machine users old machine being retired. when enter serial no invalid message. i work ministry of transportation, ontario , purchased volume licensing. make things better, original person deployed doesn't work here anymore. have following if needed:   order number end user purchase number reseller purchase order number agreement number   please help chris for licencing issues have contact adobe support directly no 1 in forum can or here.
