Printing Issues

each time when import scanned image in adobe illustrator, on screen looks great whether image png, tiff or pdf, scanned @ resolution, when print image, edges jagged on screen excellent.

this done on imac.

 

some images work scanned online books, , scan in adobe photoshop elements.

i edit images in both adobe photoshop , adobe photoshop elements

 

could tell me issue causes this?

it pre-printed screening moire patterns comes scanning pre-printed images, seen when enlarging.
