Tiff size pixels verses inch

i have logo, on paper should no longer 2 inches @ 300 or 600dpi.  when program dialogue pulls in, larger though 2 inches in photoshop.  if pixels 623 x 141      how make file uses same pixel size 2 inch x .43 inch @ 600dpi.

 

why program using making larger in photoshop.??? if pixels how fix that.

one way via cropping. select crop tool, pull down first menu in options bar (the row of controls under menu bar) , select w x h x resolution , enter in desired values.

Catalog issues

in lightroom 5 tried open photo files by hitting open catalog. hit on lightroom 5 catalog icon, didn't show me files. it asked me if wanted relaunch. did relaunch , cannot find of photo files unless got "computer" on pc.   my catalogue stored in external drive. when relaunched, saw no mention made of external dirve, whole lot of writing referring c drive.   could please answer following.     1)what have done relaunching? in two lightroom books find no mention of word.   2)how return things normal , find photos in (external drive?) catalog?   when you're looking photo files, open catalog?     thank you,   al marotta i don't understand did, i'm guessing have accidentally opened wrong catalog.   in lightroom, go file->open recent , select each of catalogs shown there see if contains photos want.
