pentax k-1 pef file do not read

how read .pef (pentax k-1) file in lightroom?

before used light room 5.7 doesn't read .pef file

so found on google , saw working light room cc version available read .pef file.

but... not working...

help please..

you need lightroom 6.5.1 or lightroom cc 2015.5.1 read raw files camera. need purchase upgrade lightroom 6.5.1, or subscribe lightroom cc 2015.5.1. download , use free adobe dng converter version 9.5.1 convert these raws dng, , import dngs.

Catalog issues

in lightroom 5 tried open photo files by hitting open catalog. hit on lightroom 5 catalog icon, didn't show me files. it asked me if wanted relaunch. did relaunch , cannot find of photo files unless got "computer" on pc.   my catalogue stored in external drive. when relaunched, saw no mention made of external dirve, whole lot of writing referring c drive.   could please answer following.     1)what have done relaunching? in two lightroom books find no mention of word.   2)how return things normal , find photos in (external drive?) catalog?   when you're looking photo files, open catalog?     thank you,   al marotta i don't understand did, i'm guessing have accidentally opened wrong catalog.   in lightroom, go file->open recent , select each of catalogs shown there see if contains photos want.
