Lightroom 6.5 crashes on start up

i have stand alone lr 6.5 on macbook running mavericks 10.9.5

 

everything working fine until today when tried use nik collection plug-ins. chose edit tiff copy of lightroom .dng file in nik collection output sharpening - plug in opened file exported lightroom did not load ie. see name of file screen didn't show image white , black checkered pane. sliders worked not see image @ all. went nik collection , found this:

i followed instructions , deleted duplicate ( greyed out , set off ) arial fonts thinking help.

 

after that, went lr , tried plug-in again. same happened - i.e. black , white checkered image pane. tried save file , export lr. exported tiff file did appear in lr black on preview pane. after no longer open lr - crashed every time i'm trying open it.

 

i'm thinking exported file somehow got corrupted don't know how resolve issue. can't find answers online.

please turn off graphics processor lightroom preferences.

 

open lightroom

go lightroom preferences edit menu

click on performance tab

uncheck graphics processor

restart lightroom

 

also, can update lightroom 6.5.1 version well.

Sizing images of multiple resolutions for print on a page of one resolution

this may basic photoshop question betrays lack of experience digital workspace, i'd know how lay out multiple images of varying resolutions on 300 ppi page intended print.   say have 3 images: 1 300 ppi, 3 x 4 inches,  4 x 5 inches, 900 ppi , third 4 x 5 inches, 600 ppi.   i've created single page 300 ppi, 8 x 10 inches. images fit, physical size. when drop 600 ppi , 900 ppi images page, blow twice , 3 times space, spoiling efforts lay them out. similarly, if cut ppi on higher-ppi images 300, blow well.   the possible option see might work resample/bicubic automatic. wouldn't reduce quality of image?   thanks! an image file single file no matter how many layers , images , image sizes  in there 1 resolution 1 resolution layers  , images have same resolution setting current resolution set document or file.   you can process image file , save out files have different resolution , different image size open image.  batch using photoshop  im...

Illustrator cs6 "Invalid Serial Number"

i trying re-install adobe illustrator cs6 on new machine users old machine being retired. when enter serial no invalid message. i work ministry of transportation, ontario , purchased volume licensing. make things better, original person deployed doesn't work here anymore. have following if needed:   order number end user purchase number reseller purchase order number agreement number   please help chris for licencing issues have contact adobe support directly no 1 in forum can or here.
