how review installation log files?
if you're troubleshooting install errors creative suite 5, cs5.5, cs6, or cc , error occurred after clicked install, analyze main installation log:
1- navigate log files in 1 of following folders:
- windows 32 bit: \program files\common files\adobe\installers\
- windows 64 bit: \program files(x86) \common files\adobe\installers\
- mac os: /library/logs/adobe/installers/
the log file name includes product name , install date, followed with”. log.gz." extension .gz indicates compressed format.
2- use decompression utility such winzip or stuffit decompress .gz file. once uncompressed, log file plain text file.
3- open .log file using wordpad (windows) or textedit (mac os).
note: default, log files open in console on mac os. select of text pressing command + a, , copy , paste text editor before continuing.
4- scroll bottom of log. in -- summary -- section lines start error: or fatal and indicate failure during installation process.

you may use find feature “ctrl + f” (windows) & “command + f” (mac) , type “error” or “fatal “in search box, display results indicate failure during installation process.
5- list of possible errors appear in installation logs,
