Content disappears when I add an action

hi,

i trying create html5 banner in animate cc includes countdown. it seems should simple try doesn't seem work, , other discussions seem close can't find exact answer.

 

i have worked out code number want, wondering how attach action text box in animate number swaps out automatically.  want x replaced – 30 minus whatever day of month is.

 

 

function myfunction() {

    var d = new date();

    var n = d.getdate();

    var = 30-parseint(n);

    document.getelementbyid("demo").innerhtml = something;

when apply code (obviously incorrectly) , preview in browser there no content showing @ all, shows blank stage.

 

any appreciated!

for starters, getelementbyid stuff never work because canvas documents not work way. set textfield contents doing this.demo.text = "make hurting stop";
