Selection tool auto scaling

i'm in-house graphic designer , yesterday, got switched pc surface pro 4.  started working on project morning , noticed strange (and highly annoying) quirk selection tool.

 

when used place image in indesign, drag handles on content box/frame , image inside wouldn't affected (eg, if placed a photo of tree , house {where tree on right, house on left}, grab left handle, slide across make frame narrower show tree image remain same size).  now, when drag corner/side, entire image scales.  not scale content within moves.

 

i'm working on same version of indesign when on pc yesterday , i'm using selection tool (black arrow). 

 

has else encountered this?  that's happened because of switch surface pro?  appreciated annoying problem.

sounds have autofit enabled.

Catalog issues

in lightroom 5 tried open photo files by hitting open catalog. hit on lightroom 5 catalog icon, didn't show me files. it asked me if wanted relaunch. did relaunch , cannot find of photo files unless got "computer" on pc.   my catalogue stored in external drive. when relaunched, saw no mention made of external dirve, whole lot of writing referring c drive.   could please answer following.     1)what have done relaunching? in two lightroom books find no mention of word.   2)how return things normal , find photos in (external drive?) catalog?   when you're looking photo files, open catalog?     thank you,   al marotta i don't understand did, i'm guessing have accidentally opened wrong catalog.   in lightroom, go file->open recent , select each of catalogs shown there see if contains photos want.
