How to CORRECTLY create Mobile *Sub-Menu* in Accordian - Photos Included

hello all,

i confident there simple way sub-menus. have tried recreating multiple times , thought here know easy solution.

what achieve is:

1. sun-menu placed directly under top-level menu item

2. have sub-menu show when down arrow icon touched (this logical)

3. "x" close menu - believe done composition widget. if correct, widget on top of accordian, , if so, how states defined "x" in composition widget?
