How do i transfer a 1px line drawing from photoshop to illustrator?

relative newbie here, sorry.

 

i'm looking suggestions on settings create dxf file (for flame-cut steel sign) starting 1px line drawing ps. place jpeg ai (btw, first issue it's larger despite both ps , ai being same dimensions). can't seem find setting image trace make clean lines can export dxf. every attempt make, image disappears or not clean , solid line. know should take course in ai, thing need in ai @ moment. (these flame-cut signs)

how complex file? i'm guessing manual retrace best option.
