Adding Text in Photoshop Elements 14

i add text layer , can't add text image. can file photoshop file jpeg or png? when try add text see dot curser , there no text shown, after type in in.

the font pt size may small resolution of image file.

you not limited default sizes listed in drop-down on type tool's option bar.

highlight value on display, , type in larger number - try 110 or 140 - , see if shows up. text should come in on separate layer.
