Can I transfer images directly to Apple Photos app directly

i realize can export desktop , drag , drop photos.
is there way transfer images specific folder in photos directly ?

either export in lightroom or hd folder.

obviously want transfer adjustments made.

what wanting achieve?? working 2 databases can lead big conflicts....
