Adobe CS3 on Win7 with Epson R2000 = color printed out always is just a bit darker and “more red”

wonder if can problem neighbor having. photography fan @ 80 , asked me fresh install of win7, installed , ran updates. has eizo cx241 monitor purchased , loaded version of photoshop cs 3 , epson r2000. ran updates on cs 3 , printer. has i1 x-rite color adjustment device , ran few times set color. when print using various options color printed out bit darker , “more red” (her words) shown on monitor. have uninstalled , re-installed printer cd received it, ran updates. have checked , tried various suggestions web , still print output darker displayed on monitor. feel retarded, been in 20 years , have done usual things solve still no luck.

any suggestions or things try greatly appreciated.

when printing image in photoshop, there should dropdown box saying "color handling." try changing "photoshop manages colors."
