Flash Player MSI install does not finish successfully

hi all

 

i having difficult time trying figure out why msi installer flash player not finishing on of our computers getting mixed results across multiple machines , don't feel narrowing down much.

 

the problem: when installing adobe flash player using msi, flash installed (you can use , appears in control panel) installation gets stuck or prevents finishing. progress bar sit in middle , flash doesn't entry in programs , features. if installing silently (e.g. use pdq deploy) installer never complete , report pdq times out. prevent else installing until force close installer process via task manager or reboot.

 

the versions testing with:

  • 21.0.0.182
  • 21.0.0.242

 

i have tried:

  • disabling anti-virus
  • uninstalling anti-virus completely
  • completely uninstalling flash before reinstalling or installing on totally clean windows installation
    • it gets stuck when updating existing installation
  • deploying silently via pdq deploy
    • whether user logged on or not

 

i mixed results on different machines. on can install it, update it, or without av disabled or installed, on other machines stuck on fresh install. can't figure out why works on , not others. can think of reason why happening?

what operating system, including version, of impacted systems?

to verify, version 21.0.0.182 installed , attempting upgrade 21.0.0.242, correct?

 

please provide following files impacted system:

  • flashinstall.log file, saved @ c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash.  if 64-bit os, there's flashinstall.log file saved @ c:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash. both files required 64-bit os
  • a verbose msi install log file.  run msi in verbose mode, option /l*v generate log file information.

Sizing images of multiple resolutions for print on a page of one resolution

this may basic photoshop question betrays lack of experience digital workspace, i'd know how lay out multiple images of varying resolutions on 300 ppi page intended print.   say have 3 images: 1 300 ppi, 3 x 4 inches,  4 x 5 inches, 900 ppi , third 4 x 5 inches, 600 ppi.   i've created single page 300 ppi, 8 x 10 inches. images fit, physical size. when drop 600 ppi , 900 ppi images page, blow twice , 3 times space, spoiling efforts lay them out. similarly, if cut ppi on higher-ppi images 300, blow well.   the possible option see might work resample/bicubic automatic. wouldn't reduce quality of image?   thanks! an image file single file no matter how many layers , images , image sizes  in there 1 resolution 1 resolution layers  , images have same resolution setting current resolution set document or file.   you can process image file , save out files have different resolution , different image size open image.  batch using photoshop  im...
