In Acrobat XI Pro, after placing a watermark on a PDF, applying an A / Web certificate, then saving as a PDF-A, the text in the document becomes unsearchable.

after adding watermark in acrobat xi pro, , a/web certifying , saving pdf-a, text in pdf becomes unsearchable, , seems pages flattened.  under save settings, can see radio boxes can uncheck make sure pages don't become flattened. results in error, , pdf not it's a/web certification.  glitch?  can search text in a/web certified document no watermark, fine.  can search text in document watermark , no a/web certification, fine.  not both items applied.  why watermark causing conflict?  there way fix or around this?

i don't know a/web is. if saving pdf/a-1a or pdf/a-1b, , have transparency, must flattened. flattening lose text completely, example if text overlaps image transparently.  watermark uses transparency. not glitch or bug.

Sizing images of multiple resolutions for print on a page of one resolution

this may basic photoshop question betrays lack of experience digital workspace, i'd know how lay out multiple images of varying resolutions on 300 ppi page intended print.   say have 3 images: 1 300 ppi, 3 x 4 inches,  4 x 5 inches, 900 ppi , third 4 x 5 inches, 600 ppi.   i've created single page 300 ppi, 8 x 10 inches. images fit, physical size. when drop 600 ppi , 900 ppi images page, blow twice , 3 times space, spoiling efforts lay them out. similarly, if cut ppi on higher-ppi images 300, blow well.   the possible option see might work resample/bicubic automatic. wouldn't reduce quality of image?   thanks! an image file single file no matter how many layers , images , image sizes  in there 1 resolution 1 resolution layers  , images have same resolution setting current resolution set document or file.   you can process image file , save out files have different resolution , different image size open image.  batch using photoshop  im...
