Unable to authorize my computer

i installed ade on computer , signed adobe account, question authorize computer doesn't pop up, nor function work in menu (it's light grey instead of dark grey it's unabled). did miss out on or did wrong?

windows:

 

    close applications.

    choose start > run.

    in open text box, type regedit , press enter. registry editor opens.

    in left pane of registry editor, locate following registry key: hkey_current_user\software\adobe\adept

    select adept key.

    choose file > export.

    in export registry file dialog box, select selected branch under export range. enter name , location backup registry key, , click save.

    right-click adept key , choose delete.

    in confirm key delete dialog, click ok.

    close registry editor.

    open adobe digital editions , reauthorize.

 

macintosh:

 

    quit adobe digital editions.

    navigate /users//library/application support/adobe/digital editions , drag activation.dat file trash.
