Editing a long text document and in some places it won't let me edit, just shuts down. Whyyy?

i have indesign cs6. paid pro @ computer training school year ago, walk me through every step of setting master template novels (a series). i've used 3 times (3 different novels, long) never problem. few days ago imported chapters of new novel existing doc, went start editing & tightening format (losing few words eliminate almost-blank pages), , in ch. 8, goes "plink" , closes itself. re-open. asks me "starting recovery. "yes". still won't let me edit in chapter, , every time try, "plink" , close. not sure do, leave it, move on. same thing happens in ch. 15. today, trying tighten ch. 1, let me make changes, plink. have 3 ch's can't edit in. ready tear out hair. tried contacting adobe support; online chat person redirected me here since not using cc. can me?

see both indesign crashes upon launch while attempting recover damaged document , adobe community: indesign 6 crashing when attempting open particular document. others opening ok.

Sizing images of multiple resolutions for print on a page of one resolution

this may basic photoshop question betrays lack of experience digital workspace, i'd know how lay out multiple images of varying resolutions on 300 ppi page intended print.   say have 3 images: 1 300 ppi, 3 x 4 inches,  4 x 5 inches, 900 ppi , third 4 x 5 inches, 600 ppi.   i've created single page 300 ppi, 8 x 10 inches. images fit, physical size. when drop 600 ppi , 900 ppi images page, blow twice , 3 times space, spoiling efforts lay them out. similarly, if cut ppi on higher-ppi images 300, blow well.   the possible option see might work resample/bicubic automatic. wouldn't reduce quality of image?   thanks! an image file single file no matter how many layers , images , image sizes  in there 1 resolution 1 resolution layers  , images have same resolution setting current resolution set document or file.   you can process image file , save out files have different resolution , different image size open image.  batch using photoshop  im...

Illustrator cs6 "Invalid Serial Number"

i trying re-install adobe illustrator cs6 on new machine users old machine being retired. when enter serial no invalid message. i work ministry of transportation, ontario , purchased volume licensing. make things better, original person deployed doesn't work here anymore. have following if needed:   order number end user purchase number reseller purchase order number agreement number   please help chris for licencing issues have contact adobe support directly no 1 in forum can or here.
