Photoshop cc 2015 does not exit properly + issue with creating new blank canvases

photoshop cc2015 close when click x not reload again when need it. when looking in task manager, still there, , running. there's 2-3 of them.

 

my boss identical motherboard, cpu , ram, gets exact same issues. we've been experiencing since latest photoshop update.


also, many times when click ctrl-n new doc click "ok" create new empty canvas, creates thin gray line 1 inch long , 10px tall entire canvas. no bars, no tools, no rulers.. ot min/max/close buttons. on , on , on again until fed up, close photoshop, kill remaining process leaves behind in task manager , try again. try again - again. works again.

 

 

what can done resolve these issue? disrupts our work-flow.

 

windows 10 (all date)
single gtx 760 (mine)
dual gtx 980 (boss' card)
asus x99 m workstation motherboard
intel 5820k cpu
32gb corsaire vengeance ram.
evo 840 ssd (mine)
evo 850 m.2 ssd (boss')

can try clearing preferences , see if of issues clear up?

Sizing images of multiple resolutions for print on a page of one resolution

this may basic photoshop question betrays lack of experience digital workspace, i'd know how lay out multiple images of varying resolutions on 300 ppi page intended print.   say have 3 images: 1 300 ppi, 3 x 4 inches,  4 x 5 inches, 900 ppi , third 4 x 5 inches, 600 ppi.   i've created single page 300 ppi, 8 x 10 inches. images fit, physical size. when drop 600 ppi , 900 ppi images page, blow twice , 3 times space, spoiling efforts lay them out. similarly, if cut ppi on higher-ppi images 300, blow well.   the possible option see might work resample/bicubic automatic. wouldn't reduce quality of image?   thanks! an image file single file no matter how many layers , images , image sizes  in there 1 resolution 1 resolution layers  , images have same resolution setting current resolution set document or file.   you can process image file , save out files have different resolution , different image size open image.  batch using photoshop  im...

Illustrator cs6 "Invalid Serial Number"

i trying re-install adobe illustrator cs6 on new machine users old machine being retired. when enter serial no invalid message. i work ministry of transportation, ontario , purchased volume licensing. make things better, original person deployed doesn't work here anymore. have following if needed:   order number end user purchase number reseller purchase order number agreement number   please help chris for licencing issues have contact adobe support directly no 1 in forum can or here.
