Print Quality suffers after I flatten a PDF.

after flatten pdf (using adobe acrobat xi pro) print quality has lowered , text comes out fuzzy. have tried using action wizard , optimize pdf function , no luck.

by “flatten” can assume mean transparency flattening?

 

if so, why doing that? flattening transparency absolutely not recommended workflow. if have text interacting raster images in transparency, text being rasterized, possibly @ low resolution. let transparency handled @ either display or print time best results.
