InDesign Recent Items - Can't find/No permission

hi guys,

 

when opening indesign (latest version, cc), every time click on recent item displays file either doesn't exist, don't have permission or program using it.

 

none of these should case, files haven't moved, i'm administrator , nothing else open. ideas combat this? example, when opening photoshop, recent items list work.

 

i'm running mac el capitan.

sounds lock files not being deleted when files closed. happens on networks.
