"No Symbol" when dragging clip to timeline

i cannot seem add more 1 video clip timeline. when add additional clips "hand" "no symbol" above it. what's going on? have done hundreds of times, now, up. importing couple of different video types, valid (mp4, mov, etc.) appreciated. help!

are source routing , track targeting selections correct?
