Illustrator will periodically Freeze and/or Crash

i having similar issues on multiple desktop computers similar specifications. specs listed below.

 

system specs

cpu: i7-3770

ram: 16gb

gpu: nvidia gtx 630

hdd: 7200rpm

os: windows 7 64bit professional

 

every , when opening application, saving file, or performing work involving moving large number of vectors, application hang , crash. through "application not responding..." dialogue in windows. windows error log indicates application hanging. 2 of 3 desktops have application on program crashes completely, third freezes periodically.

 

since its' 3 separate systems 3 separate sets of hardware, i'm hesitant call driver issue, though have checked might out of date or causing conflict , have updated out of date drivers no real improvements.

are computers connected server? there process running in background? if yes, please disconnect/stop , check app. share result.
