Why is it suddenly painfully slow to move files to folders?

all of sudden, when create new folder , tick box move selected images newly created folder, takes long time transfer photos over. , it's not many. 1 else having problem of sudden? reason why?

operating system.

version of lr, (not stating "it latest").

where creating folder , images, drive names/letters, internal or external drives.
