Automatic line break maybe by paragraph styles?

hello,

 

i have table of contents this:

 

1. topic
1.1 xxx

1.2 xxx

 

2. topic
...

 

i wanna have empty line between topics.

 

can teach indesign insert automatic line break?

 

maybe paragraph styles? easy here, because style insert line break

before text !everytime style used.

as part of  paragraph style define topic heading (which include character formatting information heading) can add space before value in indents , spacing section. add space of choice without need empty paragraph adding line break (which cannot style).
