I recently downloaded Element 10 in my Apple Macbook Pro. When I attempt to open the 'photo' file on the apple I receive and error message. What can I do to get Elements to recognize the Photo folder on the Computer?

i downloaded element 10 onto macbook pro.  when attempted access 'photo' folder on mac received error message :  'could not complete request because of program error".  how can access photo folder?
