Intel SSD 750 Series

in weak moment bought 1 intel ssd 750 series 800gb hhhl (ssdpedmw800g4x1), due price drop of cdn $100 (i.e. cdn $729).

 

i've been looking replace 1 remaining spinning drive, find myself questioning decision 750 series write speed specified @ 800 mb/s, lot slower samsung 950 pro m.2 (at 1527 mb/s) , 4 samsung 850 pro in raid 0 configuration (at 1833 mb/s).

however, can live read speed of 750 specified @ 2000 mb/s.

 

the idea use ssd 750 in place of existing system ssd drive , use latter various none video , image related data, presently on hdd.

 

my quandry, should return intel ssd 750 (have'nt opened package yet) , wait faster pcie version price drop, or being critical...

anyone here using drive , thoughts?

yes return 750 , use 950 pro os.
