i have been designing interface of app friend on photoshop. have of layers organized , ready go app developer, need convert psd files ai in order work on them. every time try file>open 1 of files in ai prompt says:::                          "this document has greater 8-bit depth imported 8-bit flat composite"   it opens file of layers merged 1 flat image, leaving no room edit anything! there way fix @ all? there way can open psd file adobe layers still in tact? can increase amount of bit depth in illustrator opens files? if decrease photoshop bit-depth of layers open on ai?     please anybody!   thank time, crystal try placing psd file open ai doc, (file > place) then choose 'embed' links panel,   it ask if want treat layered items or single flat image.
